TTI at a Glance
In 2024, our fair hosted a total of 282 exhibitors, including 61 international participants from 11 countries. Additionally, the fair welcomed 10,929 visitors in total, including 202 international buyers from 73 different countries, and over 2,000 B2B meetings were conducted.
18th TTI İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress welcomed thousands of visitors while also hosting panels where various aspects of tourism were discussed. The Digitalization in Tourism Hackathon, organized as part of the Create in İzmir project, also showcased sustainable projects aimed at integrating technology into tourism.
Hosted by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ and TÜRSAB, the 18th TTI İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress brought together tourism professionals, international participants, and visitors from all around the world at Fuar İzmir. Various aspects of tourism were also discussed in the panels held during the fair.
"Digitalization in Tourism Hackathon"
Additionally, as part of the Create in İzmir project conducted by İzmir University of Economics, and with contributions from the İzmir Chamber of Commerce and YABİSAK, a "Digitalization in Tourism Hackathon" was held during the fair. The hackathon aimed to redefine the future of tourism, integrate technology into the tourism sector, and develop sustainable projects. Participants came together to produce innovative solutions for the tourism industry. Six teams comprising 24 participants worked intensively over two days, developing their projects with the mentorship of industry professionals and academics, and presented them to a jury. Based on the evaluations of the jury Prof. Dr. Murat Aşkar, Dr. Ferzan Yalkut, and Dr. Gözde Çeviker the Pathfinders team, which created designs emphasizing digitalization in tourism through various applications, won first place. TuristCo came in second, and AllinTech placed third.
